FirePath - Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the FirePath mobile application ("App") operated by Woohoo Software ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App
2. Data Ownership and Privacy
Your financial data (holdings, assets, liabilities, income, expenses, net worth snapshots, and FIRE calculations) is stored on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to your data. If you choose to use the optional Google Drive backup feature, your data is transferred directly between your device and your Google Drive account — we do not have access to your Google Drive or backup files.
You are responsible for managing your own backups. We are not liable for any data loss. For more information on how we handle data, please see our Privacy Policy.
3. Financial Disclaimer
FirePath is a tracking tool only. It is designed to help you track your progress towards financial independence. It does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any other form of professional financial guidance.
- All projections, FIRE calculations, and estimates shown in the App are based solely on the assumptions and data you provide. They are not predictions of future performance
- Past performance is not indicative of future results
- The App does not recommend any specific investments, strategies, or financial products
- Before making any investment or financial decisions, you should consult a licensed financial adviser who can provide personalised advice based on your individual circumstances
- The creators and operators of FirePath are not licensed financial advisers and do not provide personalised financial recommendations
- You use the App and rely on its calculations entirely at your own risk
4. Premium Subscription and Payments
The App offers subscription plans to unlock premium features ("Premium").
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose)
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play Store settings
Free Trials
- Some subscription plans may include a free trial period
- Free trial availability and duration are displayed at the time of purchase in the Google Play purchase dialog
- If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Google Play account will be charged
- You can cancel during the free trial at any time in your Google Play Store settings to avoid being charged
- Free trials are limited to one per Google Play account per subscription plan
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policies.
5. Premium Features
Premium unlocks the following features:
- Unlimited Holdings and Asset Tracking
- All FIRE Variants (Lean, Regular, Fat, Coast)
- Full Net Worth History
- FIRE Projection Charts with Scenarios
- Multiple FIRE What-If Scenarios
- Backup & Restore (Google Drive)
We may add new premium features over time. Existing features included in your plan will not be removed.
Automatic Price Updates (Beta)
FirePath includes an automatic price-update feature that pulls end-of-day and intraday prices for supported stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, and spot commodities. This feature is provided on a best-effort, beta basis.
- Price data is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable
- Coverage varies by region and exchange; only some markets are supported at any given time
- Automatic price updates are a convenience feature and are not guaranteed as part of your subscription. You can always enter prices manually
- We may add, remove, pause, or change price sources without notice
- Prices shown are indicative only and should not be relied upon for trading, tax, or valuation decisions
6. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights in the App belong to Woohoo Software. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Woohoo Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the App.
You have sole responsibility for adequate backup of your data. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, app uninstallation, or any other cause.
Without limiting the foregoing, our aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amounts paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding any claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Woohoo Software from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or your breach of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
